On a prime plot in Beirut’s chic quarter of Ashrafieh, plans for a new five star hotel are set to take the hospitality world to stunning new heights. The Mouawad Hotel aims to encapsulate the dazzling spirit of Mouawad jewelry with its luxurious state-of-the-art design.
The hotel’s main entrance is accessed through a garden which creates a symphony of exotic greenery and aquatic cadence. Rising out of this garden is a jewel-like elliptical structure which forms the focus of hotel activity. Mainly crystalline in nature, by day it bathes the lobby in glorious sunlight, while by night it is illuminated to shimmering effect.
From the lobby, a monumental staircase leads guests up to the mezzanine level grand salon, before continuing onward up to the French restaurant at the top of the crystalline structure. A conference center is accessed by a separate entrance and offers full business and function facilities.
Glass observation elevators transport guests about the hotel, giving the impression of travelling in their own private cab. On the ultimate heights of the hotel, a circular helicopter pad provides convenient and exclusive access for VIP guests. Five levels below a pool deck echoes the shape of the helipad, giving the impression of swimming in the sky. Needless to say, views from this aerial paradise are out of this world.
